Overview
An 18-day safari in Uganda would allow you to explore many of the country’s top wildlife destinations and cultural attractions. Here is a sample itinerary:
Itinerary
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to Uganda's only population of wild rhinos. Take a guided walking tour to track these magnificent creatures, and learn about the conservation efforts underway to protect them.
Drive to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest national park in Uganda. Take an afternoon game drive to see elephants, giraffes, lions, and other wildlife, and enjoy an evening boat cruise on the Nile River to the base of the stunning Murchison Falls.
Take an early morning game drive to see the park's predators in action, followed by a guided nature walk to the top of Murchison Falls. Afternoon game drive.
Drive to Kibale Forest National Park, known for its primates including chimpanzees, baboons, and monkeys. Take an evening guided forest walk to spot some of these fascinating creatures.
Early morning chimpanzee trekking followed by an afternoon visit to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to see a variety of bird species and other wildlife.
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to a diverse range of wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, and over 600 species of birds. Take an evening game drive.
Morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector of the park, followed by an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles, and birds.
Drive to Ishasha, known for its tree-climbing lions. Take an afternoon game drive to see these unique predators in action.
Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to over half of the world's population of mountain gorillas. Relax in the afternoon or take a village walk to learn about local culture.
Early morning gorilla trekking followed by an afternoon visit to a local community project.
Second gorilla trekking experience, or optional forest walk to see other primates and birdlife.
Drive to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda's most beautiful lakes. Enjoy an afternoon boat cruise and swim in the lake's clear waters.
Relax on the lake's shore or take a guided nature walk to see some of the local wildlife.
Drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, home to Uganda's other population of mountain gorillas. Relax in the afternoon or take a guided nature walk.
