DETAILED ITENERARY

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Our guide/Driver will receive you upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport. He will update you with all the information about the safari according to the reservation. Later check in at your hotel either in Entebbe or Kampala.

Day 2: Drive to Mabamba swamp for birding

After Breakfast we shall drive to Mabamba swamp for birding which is a marshland of L. Victoria. This is a home of the shoebill stork and papyrus Gonoleg birds. Then we will pass across the Equator heading to Lake Mburo National Park where we shall do game drive, nature walk and birding, here you will have a chance to see the Impalas, Zebras, Topis, Elands, Hyenas, Wartwogs, Buffalos and Hippos plus leopards and see the grey crowned crane the national bird of Uganda.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat cruise in Lake Mburo National park

After breakfast, you are taken for morning Game where different wild life mammals can be seen like zebras, eland, buffaloes, waterbuck, bush buck, giraffes, hyenas, leopards and pangolin. Also get a chance to view many bird species in the park like Rufous-bellied Heron, Bateleur, Coqui Francolin, Grey Crowned Crane, Black-bellied Bustard, Brown-chested Lapwing, Emerald-spotted Wood-Dove, Brown Parrot, Red-headed Lovebird, and Ross’ Turaco. After lunch break, you embark on boat cruise to see hippos, crocodiles, and water birds.

Day 4: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Rest

After an early breakfast, we shall then embark on a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park, the home of legendary tree climbing lions, you check in to your lodge and rest to prepare for the long day ahead.

Day 5: Game Drive, Boat Cruise and Birding in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, we set out for game a game drive. This is the perfect time to see lions, leopards, buffalos, elephants, Waterbuck, Uganda kobs and see key bird species like the Martial Eagle, Black-rumped Buttonquail, African Skimmer, Chapin’s Flycatcher, Eagle Owl, Black Bee-eater, White-tailed Lark, White-winged Warbler, Papyrus Gonolek, Papyrus Canary then come back to the lodge for lunch and we do an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Semliki National Park

After breakfast, we go for a game drive and transfer to Semliki National Park passing via Fort portal, here we shall drive along Rwenzori Mountains on our way to Semliki National Park which has got East Africa’s hottest boiling Hot springs and check in to your lodge.

Day 7: Morning Game Drive and Birding in the Afternoon

After breakfast we embark on morning game drive and visit Semliki hot springs. We continue on your adventure of seeing birds like Abyssinian ground hornbill, African openbill, Great white pelican and Malachite kingfisher then return to the lodge.

Day 8: Drive to Kibale National Park and we do Bigodi Swamp Walk

Driving to Kibale National Park, this is an internationally recognized as a chimpanzee capital and other primates they do also dwell here not forgetting the immense birding experience that lies here like the Great Blue turaco,Timberline doves, Easter Greenbul and the noisy little Greenbul. We shall also do Bigodi Swamp walk in the evening and the return to the lodge for the night.

Day 9: Chimpanzee Tracking and Birding in the Afternoon

After breakfast, we set out for morning chimpanzee tracking and later switch to swamp walk of Bigodi and bird watching and later return to the lodge for the night

Day 10: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

We start driving northwards through Kagadi and a hot lunch stop in Hoima. A big town with nice restaurant for a good warm lunch even chances of local food and fruits. After we continue via Butiaba escarpment, view point of Lake Albert on a clear day, entering the park in the afternoon. Checking in our lodge, and have dinner at the lodge.

Day 11: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

After early breakfast, we set out for a game drive, we cross the Nile with the Ferry. We go for Wildlife experience. Birding and mammal packed morning experience. This will connect us to the Delta. Hornbills to be seen, shoebill then have lunch and we do an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. Here you may do the hike from the bottom to the top of the falls and return to the lodge for the night.

Day 12: Drive to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Tracking and Resting in the Afternoon

Drive from Murchison falls National Park to ZZiwa Rhino sanctuary. Zziwa Rhino sanctuary, it’s a Rhino recovery breeding center to bring back species that was put to extinction in Uganda by 1970’s during President Amin’s regime. We will do a Rhino tracking before checking in at our Lodge. Then after have lunch and then relax as we tick our birding and animal checklist preparing for the flight the following day.

Day 13: Drive Back to Entebbe Airport

Having a late breakfast. Driving to Kampala for shopping (crafts), having our lunch in Kampala and then drive to the Airport.
